For a 16 oz (450 g) package of about 12 frozen pierogi, bring at least 2 US qt (1.9 L) of water to a boil in a large pot. Add the frozen pierogi and bring to a boil until they all float, then boil for 1 to 2 minutes, typically 5 to 7 minutes total. Drain the pot or scoop out the cooked pierogi with a slotted spoon and serve.
